Song:   Discover Me
Album:  The Road, The Pain

© Peter Huttinger

Lookin' at the world in my room through a TV−screen.
I pick up my guitar and jam to the empty phrases.
I dig into my soul and help my thoughts to come out clean.
I'm letting myself go until I find your traces.

And as I find your footprints an ignition spark lights up my brain.
Feels like floating through time around the corners of my mind.
This time you gave me the virtue to lift those heavy veils of grey.
I guess you'll never know except you'd get to see the world through my eyes.

Hire me, fire me, take from me then set me free!
Remember me of what I need to be, let me see, inspire me!
Discover me, let me bleed down on my knees in extasy.

And if I left a little scar in your soul every once in a while you'd think of me.
And if I ever seem to lose control, the reminiscence will fight my mind free.

Now don't get me wrong – you never truly hurt me.
When your passion is none for you it's only wasted time.
And all that I can feel is pain to boost my fantasy.
Like a wound that cannot heal until I write these lines.

Hire me, fire me, take from me then set me free!
Remember me of what I need to be, let me see, inspire me!
Discover me, let me bleed down on my knees in extasy.

And If you think I'm crazy compared to the ones you know, I know I'm on my way.
I have to thank you baby, though we were never close, maybe we'll catch it up someday.
