Song:   Rock Dinosaurs
Album:  The Road, The Pain

Born in chains, born from pain, never tame you know it started with the blues.
When the slaves dug their graves someone played and they sang out the truth.
Slaves were gone, the blues lived on and was done in different ways.
Like a brief against grief, a belief that never betrays.

Then guitars became stars in the heart of rock ‘n’ roll.
Cranked up loud and the sound made the crowds lose control.
Evolution, revolution, institution – legends were born.
Stoned or blue, songs rang true, something new, almost like a new dawn.

If you think these days are over, you didn’t look hard enough!

Heat it all up, cool it all down. Keep on believing, help us save the rock dinosaurs.
Don’t ever stop spreading the sound. For eternity may we all save the rock dinosaurs.

Hippies came and those names who reached fame in the summer of love
They came for to end war spirits soared, there was magic above.
Rock went hard, from the start it became a part that never decayed.
Metal rose, screams and blows at many shows – still strong today.

If you think these days are over, you didn’t look hard enough!

And I would give everything I own if I could have been there once upon a time to see if it was as they say.
What will we do when they’re all gone once they all played their final song – Can we carry their legacy on?
Someday they all will be gone…

Well, “they call it stormy Monday, but Tuesday’s just as bad”. When “the thrill is gone”, the “hound dog” feels so sad”.
They knew “that’ll be the day” for “Johnny B. Goode”. There were “great balls of fire” and “long tall Sally” was cute.
We better “wait ‘till tomorrow” when the “purple haze” is gone. And we “won’t get fooled again” in the “white room” alone.
There was a “black magic woman” with a “whole lotta love”. There was “smoke on the water”, “Aqualung” had enough.
They were “breaking the law”, they knew “the number of the beast”, They went “paranoid” on the “highway to hell”.
Today “nothing else matters”, some appear “comfortably numb” – but the show…“the show must go on”!

Heat it all up, cool it all down. Keep on believing, help us save the rock dinosaurs.
Don’t ever stop spreading the sound. For eternity may we all save the rock dinosaurs.
