Song:   The Road, The Pain
Album:  The Road, The Pain

A moonlit night, clear and cold.
I feel it's time to hit the road.
My breath is clouding as I'm walking to may car.
It's only me and above the stars,
it's only me and above the stars.

Noone's here to light my way.
Only tumbleweed rolling along.
No destination, nothing left to say.
So I turn on the same old song,
so I turn on the same old song.

Mine is the road, mine is the pain.
Everywhere I look, everything's the same again.
Mine is the dust mine is the ashes.
Whatever road I take it leads me to the same old land.
The more I seek the less I find,
so all I can do is refrain and refrain and refrain…
and the devil is calling my name.

Behind me the dawn is breaking now.
The sun crawls over the horizon.
These new rays light the way but I don't know where it leads.
I just know the road goes on,
I only know the road goes on.

Later on I'm riding towards the sunset,
As my well known friend shows up in the sky.
Can't say I'm wrong and I've nothing to regret.
As long as it's rolling it's all right,
as long as it's rolling it's all right.

Mine is the road, mine is the pain.
Everywhere I look, everything's the same again.
Mine is the night, mine is the moonlight.
Don't know what's driving me, but It's driving me wild and then
there's nothing more to leave behind.
So all I can do is refrain and refrain and refrain…
and the devil is calling my name.

But you don't know how empty I feel
each time I throw the headlights out on the highway.
Headlights and shadows, hangin' on to shattered dreams.
Guess I'm condemned to the road -
until the day I die.
